»3GPP LCLS: Local Call, Local Switch«
2018-04-20, 12:30–12:45, Main Room
This is a quick intro about 3GPP LCLS and its state on the Osmocom roadmap
3GPP LCLS is a vendor-independent, standardized solution for keeping the media plane local to the RAN (BTS/BSC) while still using the traditional/central core network for signaling. This helps in situations where the back-haul is slow and/or expensive, such as satellite back-haul scenarios.
